Our three day Etosha tour will provide you with the pleasure of seeing the greatest wildlife Namibia has to offer.  Etosha National Park spans an area of 22,270 square kilometers (8,600 sq mi) and gets its name from the large Etosha pan which is almost entirely within the park. The Etosha pan (4,760 square kilometres (1,840 sq mi)) covers 23% of the area of the total area of the Etosha National Park. The park is home to hundreds of species of mammals, birds and reptiles, including several threatened and endangered species such as the black rhinoceros.

Itinerary

Day 1: Windhoek – Okaukuejo, Etosha National Park 

(450Km – Accommodation: Okaukeujo Resort or Similar)

Pick up from your hotel or lodge at 8am to allow us to depart at 9.00am. Herded to the north we will have our lovely lunch break in Otjiwarongo or Outjo. 

You will reach your destination, entering the south side of Etosha through Anderson Gate and arrive in Okaukuejo Resort in the afternoon. After checking in and settling into your rooms, you will have time to explore the surroundings, enjoy a dip in the swimming pool and then take off on a late afternoon game drive. During your game drive through the National park you can look forward in seeing the best of Namibia’s wildlife: elephants, rhino, zebras, various game (oryx, kudu, wildebeest, impala, springbok, gemsbok) giraffes, hyenas and big cats of Africa: lion, leopard and cheetah inhabiting the enormous grasslands. 

You will return to the lodge for dinner and before you turn in for the night, enjoy a visit to the floodlit waterhole is strongly recommended, as there are good chances to see rhino and lion who come to drink.

Day 2: Okaukuejo to Namutoni, Etosha National Park  (Inside the Park)

After breakfast you will check-out and we will depart to Namutoni Rest Camp. During our game drive we will stop at Halali middle camp for lunch. Thereafter we will check in at Namutoni rest camp we can enjoy the blissful scenery at the waterhole or relax at the swimming pool, before departure on a late afternoon game drive.  During your game drive you will come across various animals as Etosha National Park is home to four of the big five game animals (only water buffaloes absent) giving you a whole new unforgettable experience and a true African Adventure. In the evening we may enjoy a glass of wine and experience a fabulous sunset from the tower of the old Namibian German fort before dinner.

Day 3: Namutoni- Windhoek (450Km )

After breakfast we begin our journey back to Windhoek following a different route by exiting the park via the Von Lindequist Gate. We will pit stops at Lake Otjikoto and in Okahandja to visit Namibia’s largest wood-carving market. 

We are due back in Windhoek late afternoon / early evening and you will be dropped off at your accommodation on our return.
