The Marine dune day is the ultimate combination of a leisure cruise on the Atlantic Ocean and a Dune Drive in the afternoon.
Our day starts at 08:30 am at our office Walvis Bay Waterfront, 1st Floor, Board Walk building. We will start with the Catamaran Cruise at 8h30. On the cruise, you will get the chance to see flying pelicans, seals, old wrecks and new ships, and if you are lucky we may see the endemic Benguella dolphins and many other sea wildlife!
The Dune Drive tour starts at 12:30 at our office Walvis Bay Waterfront, 1st Floor, Board Walk building. Here you will meet your guide and get all set and ready. Our first stop will be at the Walvis Bay Lagoon. We then continue to the large salt evaporation ponds. Finally, we drive through the river bed into the Kuiseb Delta, a dry riverbed full of history of the Topnaar people, whose ancestors have been living in the delta for centuries. Animals such as springbok come to seek for food and water in the Kuiseb Delta.
