AGRICULTURE

This course will give you a solid foundation for your future career development, introducing you to a range of skills required to work in a number of agriculture and countryside-related industries. Classroom lectures are supported by practical activities and you will have work experience to enhance your employability.

This course has been developed in the environmental and land-based sector to:

• Provide education and training for learners interested in employment and/or further education in the environmental and land-based and/or associated sectors
• Provide opportunities for employees who currently work in agricultural and land management industries to achieve a recognized vocationally specific qualification
• Give full-time learners the opportunity to enter employment in the environmental and land-based sector or to progress to higher vocational qualifications levels in Agriculture
• Give learners the opportunity to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal skills and attributes essential for successful performance in working life.
