When undertaking consultancy and design commissions we maintain close liaison with the client. At project inception we ensure that the client’s project goals are complemented with sound technical advice. During the conceptual stages all project requirements are outlined and possible solutions identified and evaluated.
The subsequent stages involved in the design system are depicted below:
Project briefing, outline of project requirements, cost estimate based on similar projects.
Site visits and meetings, Foundation investigation through Geotechnical Specialists and Geologists.
Work closely with architects, Planners, Quantity surveyors, Engineers. Initial designs cost estimates and possible alternatives.
This commences only after approval of the preliminary design by the client. Production of design calculations and schematic drawings, contract specifications.
Production of detailed engineering drawings and their schedules.
Compilation of bill of quantities and coordination of tender data. Preparation of the conditions of contract and associated contract procedures.
Evaluation of tenders, awarding of tender and engagement of contractor into a contract.
Supervision of the contractor engaged on the project. Construction and quality management. Checking and certifying claims from the contractor.
