Namibia has one of the best solar regimes in the world, with an average direct normal irradiation (DNI) of 2,200 kWh/m²/years, peaking to 3,000 kWh/m²/year in certain areas, making it highly suitable for solar energy investments. The Renewable Energy & Water Exhibit will highlight Namibia's potential for investment in solar, as well as the wind energy and water sectors. The eshibit feature an onsite solar and wind energy power stations that will help provide electricity for the pavilion. The exhibit will also showcase opportunities in the area of water desalination development, which is of great importance to Namibia in the light of severe drought conditions that the country has experienced. These stories will primarily be told through the use of infographics and short form video. The exhibit be located adjacent to a business lounge, where potential investors will be able to sit down and meet with representatives of Namibia’s Ministry of Trade and Industry.
