The Port Walvis Bay is Namibia's largest commercial port, receiving approximately 3,000 vessel calls each year and handling about 5 million tonnes of cargo and the Port of Luderitz handle bulk cargo for Namibia’s mining giants.
The ports accommodate the majority of the mining role players from bulk facilities for coal, iron ore and manganese, phosphate handling facility and has a tanker jetty which increases capacity for supply of fuel for mining operations.
