Overview of Skeleton Coast

The Skeleton Coast may be a windswept strip of desert covering almost 500km of Atlantic Coast. This spooky park is usually shrouded in fog. Its name comes from the various shipwrecks lying on the shore. An enormous draw for visitors is the fascinating Cape fur seal colonies. The foremost visited colony being at Cape Cross, located south of the park.

Numerous ships have stranded at the Skeleton Coast because of the thick fog, the rough sea, unpredictable currents, and stormy winds. The sailors who were ready to make it to the land didn't stand an opportunity of survival at this inhospitable coast and died of thirst. There is nothing to worry about, this is the fact that you need to know. And be concerned during the excursion. Despite the hostile character of the Skeleton Coast, there is quite several untamed animals to watch, for instance, desert-adapted elephants, rhinos, desert lions, brown hyenas, jackals, giraffes, seals, Oryx, kudus, and zebras. Also, some plants are incredibly adapted to the rainless area of the Skeleton Coast and depend solely on the daily fog from the Atlantic Ocean. Offer your soul a freedom to explore the beauty of this staggering Skeleton Park.
